i didn't notice difference. what exactly "Apply dynamic range compression" is doing?

were you considering to implement "Dynamic Range compressor"?
something like "Compressor" in Audacity.
would be useful to make AAChe small files for in car or on road listening.

it looks that updated xrecode3 gets error opening container files (like mkv, mpg, avi) with audio.
rolled back to 1.87

remove brackets [] and replace Total: with sign ∑. on column auto-size first column (#) is way too wide.

as alternative first column, whatever it is, is not auto-scaled. Something like (in settings):
√ Auto size files columns √ except first one

now looks ok.
