[SOLVED] MP3 Transcode settings

Hi,

I have a feature that I want in MP3's Transcode Settings.
In addition to "Skip file if the input bitrate is smaller than the output bitrate", can you not implement "Copy file if the input bitrate is smaller than the output bitrate"?

When I listen to music by car, I transcode files of high bit rate and lossless compression to MP3 VBR128-192Kbps.
However, my music library is mixed with old ones with low bit rates.
In such a case, copying and copying files without transcoding is very helpful.
It's surprisingly hard work now because I'm manually searching and copying.

I am sorry for my poor English.

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response!
I checked the operation
It is an ideal process except for VBR files.
I examined the average value of 1000 songs
The file size became CBR160 or more> VBR128-192> CBR128 or less.
It feels ideal to make a copy decision at a bit rate one step higher than the minimum bit rate of VBR encoding settings

for exsample,

If the setting is VBR128(Min)-192(Max),
CBR16-128 Copy
CBR 160-320 Trasncode
If the setting is VBR96-160
CBR16-96 Copy
CBR128-320 Transcode
If the setting is VBR160-256
CBR16-160 Copy
CBR 192-320 Trasncode

I thought as above, what do you think?

Here's another update to try - https://xrecode.com/test/setup_xrecode3 ... t_1.93.exe
- I changed option to "Copy file if the input bitrate is less or equal to the output bitrate"
- Now, if input file has smaller or equal bitrate, it will be copied.

Hi,

Thank you for your response
I tried immediately.
I was able to process a lot of files including old MP3 easily
This is very useful!

Thank you very much!
