The normalization process is much much slower than i.e DBPoweramp. I've discovered that this process takes place BEFORE conversion and not AFTER the encoding stage. I.E. FLAC to MP3: The FLAC files to normalize are larger than MP3 so that it takes much longer to normalize. I did the test and the process after encoding is significantly faster in XREcode 3!
Is it possible to change the order of the normalization process?
[SOLVED] Normalize AFTER encoding files.
Re: Normalize AFTER encoding files.
Normalization is not happening "before". In order to apply normalization, value is calculated from the source file, and then it's applied to the output file while it's created. Maybe it's MP3Gain you're referring to?
Re: Normalize AFTER encoding files.
Thanks for you reply.
But why take it so much longer to normalize files in XR3 compared to DBPoweramp?

Re: Normalize AFTER encoding files.
How exactly you applied Normalizing in XRECODE, i.e. to audio or to tags?
Re: Normalize AFTER encoding files.
Only to tags..
Re: Normalize AFTER encoding files.
OK, that can be changed I will look into this.
