Yes, works without the slowdown and unresponsiveness. :D

Although I noticed that when I select lame.exe, CPU load only gets to ~70%, while with .dll it's at 100.

That's good :) Thing is that with such number of encoding threads, disk speed start to play a major role, including the buffer sizes for reading/writing to the disk. When using lame.dll, I can control both of them, while for .exe I can only control the input buffer size. In the latest update I changed the size of the input buffer to 64K and that helped a lot. What type of SSD drive you have?

Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB, but I store music mainly on an external USB drive (and do the converting there too). It's the same whether I convert on the USB 3.0 HDD or the SSD, though.

OK, I see. When converting to USB, files are converted to a temp folder and then copied after that to the USB, so that it's faster. There's a setting for that under Misc (Use temp folder ...). Anyway, the reason for not using the 100% of the CPU is the disk. I need to get the 16 cores PC myself in order to properly test it :)

Hey there. I'm having this issue again for some reason. Deactivated the progress bar, but still utilization is never going over 10%. Same with both .dll and .exe. :| Not even converting on a USB device, just on a regular hard drive.

I updated to the latest version and core load was 100% for a short while, but then it drops again.

Should I email you the diagnostics?

What type of hard drive (SSD, regular?) are you converting from/to, i.e. is it the same drive?

And what type of files are you converting and to which format?
