OK, here's another update with Album to try - https://xrecode.com/test/setup_xrecode3 ... t_1.94.exe
You can now specify Genres values in the Tags replace file as described here - https://xrecode.com/wiki/index.php?title=Metadata
Make sure that "Apply automatically" is checked under "Tags replace definition file:"
In your case the file would look like this (values are comma separated)

Code: Select all

[Values_Genre]
Podcast,Instructional,Science,History,Thriller,Spy Thriller,Sci-Fi,Fantasy
I also moved Genre under Audiobook section, so that you'd need to set it only once.

If I could I ask 2 small additional favors. Could you possibly add "Artist" and "Comment" fields to the Audiobook Tagging area?. I don't need those fields often I usually have them tagged with previously ripped files, but it would be handy especially if ripping straight from cd/dvd to m4b.

Thank you again. It's awesome when a developer is as responsive to users as you are. :D

Hope you're not finding my little requests annoying, but might I suggest you do something similar to the audiobook tagging for tagging Merged mp3's etc. for "Track" and "Title" since merged files lose Track and Title info... I believe all the other fields (of the first track?) carry over. Maybe A "Merged File Tags" section with those two fields or something like that would be consistent with your existing design? Thank you again for all the little changes you've made so far.

For Merge you can select all tracks in Metadata editor, enter value for the required field and it will be updated for all selected tracks.

Yes. I have no problem selecting all Tracks and changing their Tags. The resulting merged file however is always missing Title and Track info whether I make all the Track and Title Tags of the source files the same or not... at least for MP3s which is the only file type I have tried merging so far. I suppose there may be a setting somewhere that changes this behavior, and I have just misunderstood it, but so far at least when merging MP3s the process has stripped Title and Track info from the resulting file.

OK, I see.
Here's the update to try - https://xrecode.com/test/setup_xrecode3 ... t_1.96.exe
It will now add Title and Track to the merged audio file, if they are equal for all tracks.
