File size change during SACD ISO Extract

Post by jonboothx »

Loving the software !

Had a quick look through the forum and noted that when using the extract function, its basically moving data bit for bit, question is why does the file size half after extraction ?

Question 2 is why does the extracted file show as 24/96 when i scan the file using dbpoweramp ?

Question 3 is on the software, its shows the bitrate as 5645 kbps, on the dbpoweramp scanner its showing as 4608 kbps

Thanks in advance

Just opened the extracted files and answered my own question, the bitrate of the dff tracks are showing the same as on the iso :D

I guess 96 is the PCM sample rate, to which DSD audio would be decoded as .
Could you, please, send me that file (with 5645 kbps) to xrecode@gmail.com (you could use https://wetransfer.com).

Still the same strange fact, even using 1.112 version.
The displayed INPUT FILE SIZE of an SACD ISO remains the double compared to OUTPUT FILE SIZE (which actually seems the real one).

What's the "Codec" of those tracks? Is it DST?

The ISO codec is DSD64 and extraction format is DSF.
But even if ISO codec is DST, the input file size is the double again.

Even using 1.113 x64 version, the matter with the displayed SACD-R "INPUT FILE SIZE" remains.
Input size is the double compare to output file size, no matter if DSF or DST is.
The input size sum of all contained files, is the double compared to whole ISO size.
The correct seems to be the output file size.

The input size for .iso files is calculated using the total .iso file size and the duration of the tracks, so it's kinda guessed.

OK, undestood about guessing of the file size, but even then, the summary of all guessed file sizes is the double compared to the total iso size and so there is not matching between both of them.
Perhaps, in the file size guessing algorithm, a division by 2 must be added.

It looks like the guessing won't work here properly, so I removed it from the .iso files (the input file size won't be shown for them at all). Please update to the latest beta version viewtopic.php?f=12&t=40
