[SOLVED] Re: CD Tray opens whenever Add Folder is selected

Yes,I believe that's what has happened, except if I simply choose the folder from the Folder tree without changing the drive shown in the box at the top of the screen, the default drive won't change. Not exactly obvious as one can select a folder from any drive on the tree without touching the box a...

Re: CD Tray opens whenever Add Folder is selected

So, the same thing happened, but then I noticed for the first time the top bar on the 'Add Folder' window - it was showing Drive E (CD Dive). I selected it to one of my other drives and opened a folder. Now when I select Folders > Add, the screen defaults to that last drive without opening the CD tr...

[SOLVED] CD Tray opens whenever Add Folder is selected

For some time now, whenever I go to add a folder to xrecode3 for processing, the CD tray opens with a message to 'Insert a disc'. I have to select 'Cancel' four times before the message disappears and the 'Add Folder' can be used. This started happening perhaps a year or so ago, but prior to that I ...

[SOLVED] Converting ISO to DSF

I know there's some info here on this already, but I'm a bit unclear on a couple things: 1) Will DSF files extracted from an SACD iso have the same audio quality as the original ISO? 2) What is the difference (if any) when using 'Encode' as opposed to 'Extract' to get the DSF files from an SACD iso?...

Re: Best way to convert high-res audio to FLAC at 16-44/48kHz

thanks for the quick reply! So I see dither doesn't seem to be an option when encoding to mp3 - is it not needed? For FLAC encoding, there are 3 options for dither: Rectangular, Trianguar, and Trianguar with High Pass - should I use one of these when downsampling to 16/44 from 24/96 or 24/192? or ju...

Best way to convert high-res audio to FLAC at 16-44/48kHz

Hi, Anyone know the best/easiest way to convert 24/96 or 24/192 FLAC files to 16/44 or 16/48 FLAC format? Or possibly a few to mp3 as well. I have a few high resolution audio files that I'd like to down-sample for use when travelling - I'd have somewhat limited drive space and would be playing on a ...
