I assume so, but I am uncertain of the software's internal procedures. Extract works great as described, which I should have thought of myself if my brain were operating well at the time. However, my attempts to merge multi-chapter m4bs end up crashing every time. Extracting to individual chapters, and then merging works, but lowers the bitrate to 7 or 8 even though I ...

Is there a way to split an m4b by it's chaptermarks without transcoding, or a method of merging 2 or more multi-chapter m4bs?
