Thank you! I learned something... looking this up:
https://hydrogenaudio.org/index.php/topic,120918.0.html
It appears the EBUR128 is superior in all ways. Switching to that, and dumping ReplayGain (old version).

Re: 192kHz 24-bit FLAC to AAC - hangs
As a followup, I tried turning some things off... I had normalization turned on. Once I turned that off, it worked as you said!
My settings for normalization is:
Use ReplayGain 96.0dB and "Save in Tags" selected.
That seems to be where the issue is?

Re: 192kHz 24-bit FLAC to AAC - hangs
Hello admin, thanks for your response. I have tried your exact settings but it still hangs on the files. Obfuscating the filename:

[SOLVED] 192kHz 24-bit FLAC to AAC - hangs
I have some 192kHz 24-bit FLAC files, trying to convert to AAC but after 3 seconds the tool says something like it stopped responding.
Doing some research, it seems others have said that the AacEnc doesn't convert from 192kHz to 48kHz or 24-bit to 16-bit either. I've heard not many of the tools can ...

[SOLVED] Re: ReplayGain showing incorrect values
I see, had some learning to do. Looks like 89dB is the default target for ReplayGain (used by mp3gain):

"The target loudness of almost all ReplayGain utilities is 89 dB SPL when replayed in an SMPTE RP 200 calibrated system (an early ...

[SOLVED] ReplayGain showing incorrect values
I usually use 3dB lower for ReplayGain. I see that XRECODE shows 75dB to 100dB for ReplayGain. dB shouldn't be from 75 to 100. "dB" is a relative scale.
3dB is double the signal value. 6dB is 4 times. 10dB is 10 times. 20dB is 100 times. 30dB is 1000 times. The equation is as follows ...

Re: Convert to M4A without installing iTunes does not work
Thanks for moving it into the bug report area, I completely agree with trying to keep the Wiki howto clean.
I will update this in a second. I'm adding another bug I see with the gui.
I think my issue with the conversion size is the album image was stored as PNG which is very high quality and very ...

Re: Convert to M4A without installing iTunes
Hello, can you please confirm that this still works?
I have Win10 x64 build 2004, and XRECODE 3 x64 1.104. My username is "roblo". When I try the instructions above, no files are extracted to:
C:\Users\roblo\AppData\Local\Temp\XRECODE3
It shows these contents:
iTunes64Setup.exe (folder)
