Re: True Peak detection and gain adjustment before DSD to PCM conversion

Another option would be a true peak check during conversion, asking the user to stop the conversion process and change the SACD gain before converting again.

Would it be possible to add value from +7 to +10 dB ? Sometimes classical albums are quite low and need this amount of scaling.

Re: Convert a single track from a DSD ISO ?

It's ok now. The problem did come from the column width.

I think that i did not changed it before, it was a clean install. Perhaps the default size should be larger ?

Re: Convert a single track from a DSD ISO ?

Neither extracting or converting work. It does extract or convert the full ISO track list regardless what is selected.

True Peak detection and gain adjustment before DSD to PCM conversion

It would be nice if we could have a firt pass with truepeak detection before to convert from DSD to PCM. I've seen that dsd to flac encodings are often clipped. Probably because users don't check peaks before conversion and directly apply a +6dB gain in the SACD settings. Actually DSD to PCM convers...

DSD test files for impulse response checks

I'm looking for a test file with pulses, so that's it's possible to test impulse response of a DSD to PCM conversion process.

Are there such files available, or perhaps a test disk ?

352.4 and 384 Khz PCM conversions

Would it be possible to allow manual settings for 352.8 Khz and 384 KHz ? I feel that DSD will be (and is now) a format that will be less and less supported physically (multichannel DSD over HDMI support for example is scarce), so converting it to the best PCM format today is a reasonable option. PC...

[SOLVED] Re: Using multiple threads to speed up conversions

Sorry this is an error on my side. Speed seems approximately the same as using FFMPEG with multi file encoding. This was on a Core 2 duo PC with Windows 7 x32. 47 secondes to convert 166 wav files to alaw 8 KHz format. I had around 70 % processor load, that's why i thought multi threading was not wo...

Re: Create original folder tree in destination folder

Sorry i did miss this setting button.

Just tried it and it's working.

As a side note i think that it would be better if it would use a relative path instead of absolute. There is no need to keep the path root below the selected folder.

[SOLVED] Using multiple threads to speed up conversions

When converting lots of files (specially if we need more than one output format), it can be useful to split the task to more than one thread, so that multi core processors can be used efficiently. To check that i tried to convert about 200 files from .wav 48 KHz stereo to mono Alaw 8 KHz format, and...
