Loud POP between DSF tracks

Post by Rsantelises »

I am new user of xrecode so this question may already be answered and I likely missed it. I know i can recode my DSF to DFF and that will eliminate the loud pop between DSF tracks when sending to my OPPO usb in DAC input. I was wondering if the option to recode and remove silence may be the best option to preserve my DSF files and tags. I can also try recoding to DFF and then back to DSF and see if that eliminates the noise. I tried merging the DSF tracks but the OPPO does not handle the cue via DLNA. Just looking to see if someone has an idea about the best option to use.

Yes, you could "convert" them to DFF and then back to DSF. Use the Extract method and select DFF/DSF format by clicking on Extract button. Removing silence would force to decode to PCM the tracks, where Extract will preserve the bits as they are.
