Popup flooding caused by an action in ABOUT button

I not set any default email client in windows despite i'm using thunderbird. How to reproduce?
1. First of all, do not set up any default mail client
2. Open XRECODE 3
3. Click on the ABOUT button
4. Click the first contact email link (the xrecode email)

May appears (sometimes yes, sometimes not) this info screen from Windows


After some seconds depending on the power of the PC I am overwhelmed...floooded by endless windows like that and unstoppable internet explorer openings. I have to reset, or log out if I can

Can it be solved?

Happened to me as well, where Firefox tried to open infinite number of tabs.
It's a bug in Firefox - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=510009
