[SOLVED] Normalizing files modifies/deletes some of their tags

Post by 1024mb »

This has been happening for some time but I wasn't sure of things. Right now I made XR normalize some files and after they have been normalized -which should be just writing the two replaygain tags- some tags have been changed, it is an MP3 file with id3v2.3 tags. This was before:

This is after:

Same thing happened before with some m4a iTunes files that XR stripped almost all the tags, at the time I thought something else happened with some other tool, thought I suspected of XR, so I just continued with life waiting for it to happen and track it down to the culprit.

This is all that's left of the m4a files (it's missing a lot of tags, even tags from iTunes itself):

OK, I found the backup of the m4a files to show you, this is what they originally had:

Here's the update to try - https://xrecode.com/test/setup_xrecode3 ... _1.112.exe.
If there are still some tags messed up, please send the source file(s) to xrecode@gmai.com.

Is still happening but not as bad as before, I sent you an email with a sample file. Thanks.
