Hi all.
The metadata of an m4a file is not displayed in Windows Explorer when flac audio files are converted to m4a audio files (exhale encoder).
The metadata of the files converted to m4a is displayed in Windows Explorer with (qaac, nero, fdk, fgh) but converted with exhale (USAC codec) is not.
Greetings to all.
[SOLVED] Metadata in Windows Explorer
Re: Metadata in Windows Explorer
Yes, same for me. It might be the thing with the Explorer not supporting the USAC format.
Re: Metadata in Windows Explorer
Maybe, although I've managed to get them displayed in Windows Explorer using MP3Tag. I copied the metadata from the FLAC files and copied them to the M4As using MP3Tag.
I used Foobar2000 to do the same, and the files can display the metadata in Windows Explorer. It seems that although USAC is not compatible with Windows the way Foobar2000 converts them manages to make them display, I mention it to give a hint if it can be of help.
Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the hint

Re: Metadata in Windows Explorer
I have tested the version and the problem has been corrected.
Now the metadata is displayed correctly, but now an error has appeared when converting, (I guess that's because it's in beta).
The error is that you cannot convert to VBR at 48kbps. Exhale encoder in mode 0 (48kbps) does not work.

Edit:
Converting an m4a (USAC) to FLAC or WAV also doesn't work.

Re: Metadata in Windows Explorer
Decoding of such files is not supported, yet.
48kbps encoding is only supported for files with sample rate less or equal to 32 kHz (this is exhale limitation).

[SOLVED] Re: Metadata in Windows Explorer
You are right, the error is mine, first you must resample to 32Khz to be able to convert it.
Then we can say that this thread has been resolved.
Thank you very much for your help, and congratulations on xrecode, it is very helpful to me.
