I have noticed this just now when encoding WavPack to WavPack using the wavpack.exe option.
My file had an embedded covert of 242KB (1000x1000) and after encoding the file with XR the resulting file has a cover of 308KB. I have configured XR to only resize (and for that matter touch) the images when they exceed 1200px width. I'll send the file by email.
[SOLVED] XR is re-encoding the embedded images
Re: XR is re-encoding the embedded images
It happened because the embedded jpeg was progressive and those are converted to baseline by default.
Here's the update - https://xrecode.com/test2/setup_xrecode ... _1.114.exe
There's a new option to turn this off https://imgur.com/a/Zz0cm0m

Re: XR is re-encoding the embedded images
Thanks, if you don't mind me asking, why was XR's default action to do that? Is there a problem with progressive JPGs?
Re: XR is re-encoding the embedded images
It doesn't really matter in most cases, but causes problems with some older (e.g. car stereo) equipment.
