[SOLVED] Import/export of files list

It would be really helpful to be able to export selected source files in some shell text file.
Then you could reload a list by importing the file.

It would allow to generate complex lists of files where some folders must be avoided by text editing or using an external program to generate the file.

The reason for this is that it is tedious to use the graphical interface for selecting unselecting files/folders before mass treatment.

And it is even more tedious to have to do it over and over...

I have been working on my library (it has 600+ cds) and the graphical interface becomes clumsy to use above 50 foldable elements.

Best wishes,
Tapx

Please download the latest beta version - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=40 and check out how to add files using .txt file -
https://xrecode.com/wiki/index.php?titl ... _.txt_file. Export was not implemented, yet.

Great !

I was already using the beta but hadn't really read the new functions.

This function wil make my life much easier for the management of my library.

Now I can use python to generate automatically a list file from dates of modification or whatever...

Thank you !

This is great news. I was hoping for an export feature for a while!

Please install the latest beta version (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=40). Function to export list is under Utilities (or right-click source files and select Utilities)/Export List To/txt.
