Hi,
Please see below - perhaps I've misunderstood the options/functionality (?)

1. Add list of .M4B files.
2. Under Output Format, choose M4A/AAC/Nero.
3. ...and for settings select Output File Extension = M4B.
4. Select Merge/CUE settings, and ensure that "Merge without transcoding" is enabled, and all boxes are selected.
5. Start the Merge process.

The output file is named with a .M4A extension. Should the file extension be .M4B ?

It those are .m4b files, then you're most likely trying to create the Audiobook. Please select "Audiobook" as Output format and files will be merged into one .m4b file with chapters.
