Hello everyone, here's my question:
Converting from FLAC to MP3 (using the provided lame.exe with mostly default settings). The FLAC files (ripped from CD, not with XRECODE) have their track no. field simply as "01", "02" etc. but the resulting MP3 files become: "01/17", "02/17" - 17 being of course the CD's total tracks.
I've searched a bit in the settings but couldn't find something. Any ideas on how to preserve the original track fields? Thank you.

Re: FLAC to MP3: Track field changed
Could you, please, send one of those flac files to xrecode@gmail.com? You could use https://wetransfer.com, if it's too big.

File sent.
Re: FLAC to MP3: Track field changed
I just checked the file. It has both TRACKNUMBER and TOTALTRACKS tags present - https://imgur.com/y5cYKTx that's why the track in mp3 was written as 01/17.

Re: FLAC to MP3: Track field changed
Thank you. Clearing TOTALTRACKS fixed it. None of my programs showed it by default.

Re: FLAC to MP3: Track field changed
You could also configure program to discard the /TOTALTRACKS part using the "Tags replace file" - https://xrecode.com/wiki/index.php?title=Metadata
Tags replace file then should only contain those 2 rows
Tags replace file then should only contain those 2 rows
Code: Select all
[Track]
<ANY>=%track2%
