Issues or Trial-Version? folder.jpg - name patterns

Post by erwe »

Hello,
testing out Xrecode III (Trial-Version)
in want to "encode" a flac-File with its cue-sheet to split the "one" file into x files (for each Song one file).

A) Trying to automate the cover pictures into the files, I want to use the folder.jpg out of the folder, where the flacs are.
With the starting encoding, the system give me an failure, because he is looking for the folder.jpg in the folder of the Xrecode-Installation.
B) Trying to set this setting different, i feel, that the file name patterns do not have any function for the cover-pictures.
%folder%\folder.jpg
C) It is a little bit very special, that the settings for the flac-Metadata could have different settings as the main Tab/Settings-Metadata.
D) I do not find any name patterns for "encoded with", "comments", etc. to use them in the Metadata.
E) I have a smal suggestion: When make an selection in the "Source files" and select then the "Metadata", the selection looses.
F) I want to "Extract" an Hires-Flac into several files without recoding or encoding (just the same size which is shown), but nothing happens. How can i solve this matter?

Best regards, erwe

  • In order for program to pick up cover from extenal file (e.g. folder.jpg) and then save it in the output folfer, please make sure you have those https://imgur.com/a/SmlaJ options enabled.
  • It is by design to have option to have a different Metadata options for each of the output formats. You can just use the main one under Settings/Metadata if you wish.
  • To replace Encoded By, Comments fields, please have a look at viewtopic.php?f=16&t=35, only in your case please use the following tags replace file

    Code: Select all

    [Encoded by]
    <ANY>=Encoded by ...
    [Comments]
    <ANY>=Some comments

  • To extract flac from CUE file, just use the Encode method as flac is lossless format and no quality will be lost when encoding, so don't worry about that.
