[SOLVED] Merging files where one has a different sample rate

Post by mdubin »

Hi:

I recently downloaded an album in which all tracks were supposed to be FLAC 24/44.1. But one of them was 24/96, obviously a mistake. When I merged the tracks to create a single file with cue sheet (to play on my OPPO BDP-103), the resulting single file was 24/96. It took the sample rate of 96k even though all but one was 44.1k.

Shouldn't there be some kind of warning or error message when all the files to be merged do not have the exact same attributes?

Thank you.

This is currently by design. When input files have different sample rates, the highest one will be used when merging them. If you want to ensure that the output file has a specific sample rate, please set it manually by clicking on the Output Settings, e.g. - https://imgur.com/Md3FdA6
